This study examined the relationships among willingness to communicate in English (L2 WTC), teacher immediacy (TI), motivation, attitudes towards learning English (ALE) and foreign language anxiety of Korean EFL learners. The participants were 320 Korean college students who took general English classes in 2023. Questionnaires related to L2 WTC, TI, motivation, ALE and foreign language anxiety were distributed to the participants online. The data was analyzed and tested using the structural equation modeling (SEM) of Amos ver. 27. The results of SEM analyses showed that motivation, ALE, and anxiety had significantly direct effects on L2 WTC, while TI did not have a statistically significant direct effect on L2 WTC. However, TI was found to be a significantly powerful indirect effects on L2 WTC by the mediation of motivation and ALE. Suggestions for effectively enhancing Korean EFL learners’ L2 WTC were derived from these findings in the end.. (Kunsan National Univserty)
